These two photos were taken on the porch of the Creekside Restaurant near St. Augustine, Florida on Friday, March 19. The Creekside is a 1940's style restaurant serving delicious down-home meals. That's me with Jill's Mom from Kansas. She flew in for Jill's birthday on March 18. Jill's is a family friend.
The next three photos were taken at Jason's Deli on Saturday, March 20. Brother Vic and Jill's Mom are seated in the foreground. In the background are me, Jill, my aunt Norma, my uncle Bill, and my cousin Dean.
Someone brought a small birthday cake for this gathering.
Here I am, waiting outside the Sakura Japanese restaurant for my official birthday dinner on Sunday, March 21.
This is Japanese Teppan-yaki cooking. The chef makes a big fuss over grilling vegetables, rice and the meat course right on the table. Vic is putting something in his mouth while Lisa and I look on. It's not a good idea to photograph people who are trying to eat.
